Fresh European Couverture Chocolate is very precious and must never be held up in transit over the weekend nor left unattended at a delivery address. For this reason, we do not ship to PO Box addresses or ship when your shipment could be sitting on a truck over the weekend.
Your order is made fresh, so please allow 1-3 days for us to make it. Most truffles, barks, toffees, peppermints take only 1 day to make whereas Bonbons can take 2-3 days to make. All Bonbon orders from the "Organic Farm & Orchard Collection" are shipped Fed Ex Overnight w/dry ice in an insulated container. Sweet Seasons Farm is not responsible for costs associated with lost or damaged products during transit, or stolen, melted or damaged goods which occur because of incorrect addresses provided, packages left unattended or not received promptly due to postal carrier shipping delays including but not limited to Covid19 pandemic.
For these reasons, please ensure that you have provided correct and complete name, address and zip code and that your recipient is available to receive the package promptly. To protect your financial investment, we encourage purchasing additional insurance for your purchases over $100.00.
WARM WEATHER CONDITIONS -- We are committed to delivering fresh, flavorful products in good condition, and include icepacks when shipping. We strongly suggest you discuss with us FED EX Overnight shipping options if the temperature at your delivery destination is more than 75 F. Please make every effort to notify the recipient that their package needs to be received promptly. We assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, damaged goods, (Melted or broken Chocolate).
RETURNS / Refunds-- Because the nature of our Confections / Products are perishable, even though they are shipped in fresh condition and are packed securely with ice packs and durable packing materials, we take no responsibilty for delayed, damaged, lost during transit and upon delivery. Neither can we be responsible for neglected packages upon delivery which include but is not limited to allowing package to sit and not be opened promptly with contents stored as instructed. Each box contains instructions on how to properly store confections. For these reasons, we do not accept returns, nor do we issue refunds or offer credits. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, please act quickly and take photos of the damaged shipping box, packages and the damaged confections. You can file a claim for damages with USPS and FED EX and they will issue you a refund. However, please notify us and send us good photos of the damages so that we can give an account to USPS and FED EX should they contact us for verification. then email photos along with an explanation to the postal carrier for a shipping refund. Refunds for cancelled orders - Because we are a small outfitter (farm business) we have to pay a fee for all cancelled orders. If you cancel an order for ANY REASON, depending on the dollar amount of your order, we will issue a partial refund, which is the total amount of your order and less the cancellation fees which start at $5.00 and can go up to $50.00 depending on the cost of the order that is being cancelled. For this reason, please be mindful when looking at the website and avoid selecting products that indicate: FARM PICK UP. These items are only available for pick up at the farm. If you would still like to order that item and wish to pay for Fed Ex Overnite shipping along with fees for Dry Ice, please call us BEFORE you place your order.
